About the temple
Vinayagar beneath the banyan tree
Aaladi Vinayagar Temple in Jaffna is a place of worship dedicated to Lord Vinayagar (Ganesha), the remover of obstacles and lord of new beginnings. 'Aaladi' means 'at the foot of the banyan tree'.
Daily poojas, monthly Chathurthi observances and the annual Mahotsavam bring devotees together throughout the year.
